We regularly see deer in our backyard, and we like to take pictures of it to help us remember. Afterwards, when you look back on the picture, it feels like you're playing Where's Waldo. "I really thought there were 4 deer in that picture, but now I only see 2!" You get the idea.

Our Summer Plans
Jeff has officially accepted an offer from Johnson and Johnson for his summer internship. He will be doing Finance work for their R&D group. We will be moving to New Jersey for this exciting opportunity! Initially, I wasn't super excited about moving to Jersey, but I think its going to be great and everyone I talk to who has actually been there says its beautiful. It is the "Garden State" after all.
J&J is going to provide a 2-bedroom furnished apartment for us so we should be able to fit the other things we need in our little Elantra. The drive is going to take us 8 days total - 5 days driving and 3 days sight-seeing or visiting family. We'll leave May 7th and Jeff starts work May 17th.
We've always wanted to do a church history tour and this seems like the perfect opportunity. We plan on visiting the sites in Missouri (independence, liberty jail, Adam-ondi-Ahman), Nauvoo, Kirtland, Palmyra, and Harmony. Plus we'll probably swim in the Glenwood Hot Springs and take a boat ride at Niagara Falls.
We're going to take advantage of living on the east coast over the summer and visit as much of the surrounding area as we can. Our list so far includes New York City, Philadelphia, Hershey, Gettysburg, Amish country, and the Jersey Shore. We're also considering how to spend our 2 long weekends. We might go to Boston/New England for Memorial day and Washington D.C. for the 4th of July. We'll see!
Since we've planned a family trip to Disneyland at the end of April, we are going to be able to drive from "sea to shining sea" TWICE (there and back)!

Impromptu Easter Egg Hunt
The MBA families planned a group Easter Egg hunt and we were planning on going. However, as I was getting Lily ready... she threw up. Its been a long time since she's thrown up! We didn't go to the Easter Egg Hunt because I wanted to make sure she was healthy and not going to spread a vicious disease to all the other children. She was fine and didn't throw up anymore.
Because of this surprise attack, we had a easter egg hunt at home with empty plastic eggs. Lily was disappointed we couldn't go, so this helped soften the blow. It was a good practice round for Easter!

The Weighted Average Cost of ROCK
Jeff formed a band with his MBA buddies called the Weighted Average Cost of Rock. All the MBA's thought it was pretty funny, but I must admit I don't really get the joke. They played an awesome show at the MBA Talent Show and even had a Cello and Saxophone for some of the songs. They played mostly Jazz and Funk, with a few rock songs mixed in. It was a fun show! Most of his band mates are 2nd year MBA students so he'll have to get a new band next year.

Sleeping Beauties
I came out to the living room this morning after working on the dishes and found Claire curled up in a BYU snuggie asleep on the floor. I felt a little guilty for not knowing she was tired and putting her in her crib.
Then, later this afternoon, I came out to the living room again and found Lily asleep on the floor. I was thrilled because its the first nap she's taken since we took her pacifier away.

Another Cute Hairdo
Lily had another cute hairdo. Jeff really liked this one and took lots of pictures. It took a little while to do, but the little ponytails on top lasted 3 days which made it worth it. I just had to redo the buns each day which was really easy. Lily's long hair is making me want to grow out my own hair.

Jeff's Birthday
Jeff turned 28 this year. Getting pretty old. I just keep thinking to myself that its great to be 24!
We had a rock star themed party with a few of our friends. We played Guitar Hero and Music Scene it. I made Jeff's favorite cake and decorated it with the Guitar Hero logo. It turned out pretty good.

Director of Service
Jeff decided to run for Director of Service for the MBA program. I think its great that he is so involved. However, the night before the campaigning started, at about 10:30pm, Jeff says, "I think we're allowed to hang posters in the MBA Lounge....." Oh, so you want me to help you??? Now?!? I'm sure this is just a hint at what is to come when my kids have school projects.
Well, we got the poster finished at got to bed about 12:30am. After we finished the poster he checked online and saw that no one was running against him, well, unless you count "Abstain".

Work-Life Balance
I had the awesome opportunity to speak to some women at BYU about work-life balance last Friday. I felt really humbled because I am no expert on work-life balance. While I was working I felt I had a very delicate balance and the slightest change would throw everything off. So I realized while preparing for this speech that no one is perfect at work-life balance.
So on that note, I officially quit my job today. Feels a little strange, but I've been away for 8 months now so it isn't a major change. Jeff better get a good job after school!
He has an internship offer with Johnson and Johnson that would take us to Raritan, NJ for the summer. We'll see if any other offers come in and what we end up doing.
